瞿广慈1969年出生于上海,毕业于中央美院雕塑系,获硕士学位。瞿广慈于上世纪九十年代起便获邀于中国、德国、法国、美国、东南亚等重要美术馆展出作品,作品系列为“革命浪漫主义”、“集体主义”、“鸟儿问答”、“终北国”。在不到十年间便成为中国当代艺术中最有影响力的雕塑家。

1994年,二十五岁大学刚刚毕业的瞿广慈,便获得了国家每五年举办的第八届全国美展雕塑大奖,成为最年轻的全国美展最高奖项获得者。瞿广慈的雕塑技法很早便为艺术圈所推崇,塑造的“小胖人”形象,成为中国当代艺术视觉中最具有社会影响力的经典符号。

2010年创立艺术品牌“稀奇艺术”“X+Q Art”,经过9年的卓越努力,使得“稀奇艺术”品牌成为艺术走向大众的标杆,七年间获得《BBC年度最佳艺术风格礼物奖》,《美国中国总商会年度艺术品牌奖》,《中国室内装饰协会年度产品大奖》等无数重要奖项,同时也带领“稀奇艺术”走上了国际最高舞台。成为艺术转向大众的第一人。

• Famous contemporary Chinese sculptor Qu Guangci was born in Shanghai in 1969 and received his MFA from the China Central Academy of Fine Arts Sculpture Department. Since 1999, Qu has been invited to exhibit his works around the world, including China, Germany, France, the United States and throughout Southeast Asia. To date, he has held nine solo exhibitions, including “Revolutionary Romanticism”, “Collectivism”, “Twittering”, “Northernmost Country”. All of these achievements has made him the most influential contemporary Chinese sculptor in less than a decade.

• In the year of 1994, 25-year-old Qu Guangci won the grand prize of Sculpture Award at the 8th National Fine Arts Exhibition, which was held every 5 years, and became the youngest winner in history. He became renowned throughout the art world for his sculpting techniques. He has attracted widespread attention for his contemporary sculpture language and his post-political expression techniques, Nowadays, his most famous “Little Fatty” series has become the most classical and recognizable symbol in Art and Design industry.

• In 2010, Qu Guangci, who is also the top-class contemporary Chinese sculptor, established the Art brand- X+Q Art. With its high quality and ingenuity, X+Q Art has won many prizes and become one of the greatest model of the “Combination of Art and Commerce” in 9 years. X+Q Art has successfully ascended to the highest stage in the world and received numerous prizes such as “ The Best Art Gifts for Christmas in the end of 2013”- BBC, “Brand of the Year”- China General Chamber of Commerce - U.S.A, “Annual Product Award”- Chinese Interior Decoration Association. It is the representative of the phenomenon of “Popularization of Fine Art” in China.
